✨ Embroidery of the Imperial Eagle, symbol of the ancient Roman Empire, and the typical writing SOL INVICTUS literally “Unconquered Sun” or “Never Defeated Sun”. In ancient Rome, he was a solar deity representing the eternal strength of the Sun, a symbol of power, victory, and rebirth. The cult of Sol Invictus became particularly important in the 3rd century AD, especially under Emperor Aurelian, who elevated him to the status of official deity of the Empire.
The Sol Invictus symbolized the invincibility of the Roman Empire and the divine protection of the emperor. Its main festival was celebrated on December 25th, the date associated with the return of light after the winter solstice.
